Mystery…Like Lightning!

Eh? Thunderbolts? Eh? Anyone? Too obscure? Hmm.

Anyway, I have been challenged by the denizens of the Every Day Fiction forums to write a mystery story. The catch, of course, is that it must be under EDFs 1,000-word limit. And I presume it must be good. I imagine it has been done, but it seems difficult to me for some reason. I am purposely not googling “mystery flash fiction” so as to not spoil myself.
And I actually have something of an idea for it. So we shall see.

Is this an excuse to not work on my supernatural story? You betchya.

It’s never been really effectively done that I’m aware of. You’re certainly not one to shy away from a challenge. I’m very excited to see what you come up with.
