Mystery…Like Lightning!
Eh? Thunderbolts? Eh? Anyone? Too obscure? Hmm.
Anyway, I have been challenged by the denizens of the Every Day Fiction forums to write a mystery story. The catch, of course, is that it must be under EDFs 1,000-word limit. And I presume it must be good. I imagine it has been done, but it seems difficult to me for some reason. I am purposely not googling “mystery flash fiction” so as to not spoil myself.
And I actually have something of an idea for it. So we shall see.
Is this an excuse to not work on my supernatural story? You betchya.
